Last week, staff and parents came together in ‘fierce but friendly’ competition at the annual WPSA Quiz, held this year at All Bar One in south west London. The WPSA Quiz is one of the most popular parent events of the year – tables for teams of eight sold out within an hour of booking opening.

On arrival, the bar was buzzing with enthusiastic teams of parents keen to be crowned WPSA Quiz champions – a title held by the Woldingham staff team for as long as we can remember.  As the quiz got underway, we realised we had some fierce competition! Having selected an excellent array of top-tier staff to defend our title, with specialists in classics, business studies, German and many other fields, we were confident in our combined skill and knowledge. Sadly, all the confidence in the world couldn’t compete with an exceptional effort by the team of Lower Sixth parents, who won by a single point.

Congratulations to this year’s worthy winners. Of course, the Woldingham staff team has now put together a strict revision regime and will come back stronger and smarter next year to take back our crown.
