After a tiebreaker at the end of a highly entertaining evening on Wednesday 9 February, the Woldingham staff team snatched victory in this year’s WPSA quiz in a final head-to-head question against the parent team headed by WPSA Chair, Amanda Kennett.
After last year’s quiz went online because of COVID restrictions, everyone who took part was delighted to return to a live in-person quiz at The Plough pub near Clapham Junction. This year’s quiz was as challenging as previous years, testing the contestants’ knowledge on a very wide range of subjects. The music and pictures rounds were particularly enjoyed
The WPSA quiz is one of the most popular parent events of the year – tables comprising teams of eight sold out within an hour of booking opening.
Head of Sixth Form Mr Abbott, a member of the Woldingham staff team, Going for Goldingham, said: ‘It was a nail-biting finish to a fantastic evening. The atmosphere was great and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening for all. We will be back to defend our crown next year!’
